Nintendo has revealed that you'll get the chance to try out its upcoming wheelchair basketball game Drag x Drive next month, but you'll need to be a Nintendo Switch Online member to do so.
Drag x Drive is set for release exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 14th, and as revealed in a social media post earlier today, the game is getting a Global Jam demo event prior to that release.
On August 9th and 10th, you'll get the chance to try out Drag x Drive, but since the game is an online-focused multiplayer title in the vein of Splatoon, you'll need to be signed up to Nintendo Switch Online if you want to check it out.

The demo will be available across three separate time frames. On August 9th, you'll be able to play it between 3am and 7am Pacific (that's 6am and 10am Eastern), and you'll get another chance between 5pm and 9pm (or 8pm and midnight the following day on Eastern time).
Following that, another demo period will be available on August 10th between 9am and 1pm Pacific, or 12pm and 4pm Eastern. That should be plenty of time to get at least a few games in.
If you're not familiar with Drag x Drive, it's a sports game that bears more than a passing resemblance to the likes of Rocket League, except instead of driving rocket-powered cars, you and your fellow contestants will be competing in souped-up wheelchairs.
The game sees teams of three players taking each other on to score the most points. You'll be using the Joy-Con 2 controllers to play, and the game uses both the motion control feature of the controller and its mouse functionality.
Drag x Drive launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on August 14th, and the free demo is coming on August 9th and 10th. Stay tuned for more.
